Back to "charming" Farah Province on Sunday June 21st. Two hours on a tiny plane, to the most boring province in Afghanistan. Luckily we have moved out of the tent and into a house. Lots of work to do with the national support staff to get them up to a satisfactory service level. Found out they are preparing food on the kitchen floor!
Splitting time between Kabul and Farah will take me through the end of this contract. Then a nice long break...still deciding whether to spend it all in Thailand or track around SE Asia to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Burma. We will see. 27 days and counting!
